In his latest blog post, Ben Evans argues that many of today’s systems are interlinked and will cause cascading collapses. For instance, many retailers are projected to close down in the following years that will impact shopping malls but also television advertising dollars.
Very interesting analysis on why General Electric’s ‘digital transformation’ didn’t work. Publicly the company praised its efforts in digital but behind the curtains it was a different story. The author highlights several issues (some of which are debatable) that explain what happened; because of its structure, GE Digital never had a chance.

This HBR article sums up my thinking of the future of work, technology will replace humans and the creativity will be a key skill. The author the workforce doesn’t need to actively replaced: Technology will replace some work, but it doesn’t have to replace the people who have done that work
