Inside the Mind of Jamie Dimon Net Interest (reading time: 12 minutes)

Jamie Dimon is the third longest serving CEO of a major bank in the world. He’s been the CEO of JP Morgan for 20 years. This post has some great takeaways on his guiding principles. From hating bureaucracy, sweating details to thinking long-term, I will surely reread this post a few times.

Execution Is a People Problem, Not a Strategy Problem Harvard Business Review (reading time: 7 minutes)

I’m rediscovering this great piece in HBR about strategy execution. Strategy is always about the people. This article provides insights on how you can align your leadership team around your big arrow, e.g. your strategic direction.

The Unusual Ambitions of Chamath Palihapitiya Michele Calarier, Institutional Investor

(reading time: 17 minutes)

I’m an unabashed Chamath fan. The ex-Facebook billionaire has made a name for himself as of late by going on TV talk shows and speaking his mind. This profile explains how an outsider rose to prominence in Silicon Valley and is now doing the same in the investment world. He’s known for openly criticizing the VC world, his ex-boss Mark Zuckerberg and stock buybacks. What I find refreshing is the point of view he brings to the world of investing as well as advocating for social change.

He provides a compelling way to think about customer experience, the dynamic between sales/marketing and product is particularly interesting.
