On this week’s show, we spoke with Geneviève Bégin, Co-Founder & CEO @ PopupCamp. Geneviève is a businesswoman, mother and artist photographer and a graduate of both the “École supérieure d’art et de design” in Orléans and the MBA program at HEC Montréal. In 2015, she co-founded the PopupCamp mobile childcare center, a solution for work, leisure and family. In 2017, the magazine Urbania identifies her as one of the 50 personalities who create the extraordinary in Quebec. That same year, she received an Emerging Entrepreneur C2 Montréal Award from the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Family Foundation. She is also a recipient of the 2015 Ambaq Award.
On the show, we spoke about:
- How she went from the world of art to business and what she learned along the way
- The importance of selling in both art and in startups
- Her passion for female entrepreneurship
- How her startup is thinking about daycare differently
- How she ranks her priorities
Geneviève is a truly special entrepreneur that is trying to engender real social change. She’s deeply passionate about many social issues and has an eclectic background. I learned a lot, I hope that you enjoy the conversation!
